Apple Bread

Perfect for breakfast or a snack. This apple bread is loaded with warm spices and apple flavors. This recipe is perfect for fall but can be enjoyed all year long. 

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups white granulated sugar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large apple diced and peeled
Glaze: (Optional)
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  •  2 tablespoons milk
Directions: 

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Combine sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.

3. Beat eggs, milk, and oil until just combined.

Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet until just moist.

4. Add apple.

5. Butter 2 bread dishes and pour the mixture in.

6. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes clean.

7. Mix all ingredients of glaze together until smooth. Spread over the top of cooled bread.
